January 17, 2008 - First part of the class - discuss Syllabus and class organization; 10 minutes break; Second part of the class: we will go over Chapter 1 in the book. I intend to also look at problems 3, 4, and 6 on page 19.
January 24, 2008 - Covered Chapter 2
January 31, 2008 - Go over Chapter 3
February 7, 2008 - First part of the class: review chapters 1-3, Q&A; Second part of the class: Midterm 1. The first exam will include all the material from chapters 1 and 2 and sections 3.1 and 3.2 from chapter 3 (i.e., part A from the Power Point slides on chapter 3). There will be 25 multiple choice questions and 5 short answer questions. You do not need to bring a scantron - you will answer directly on the exam packet.
February 14, 2008 - Grades for the first exam have been posted. We will discuss exam 1 in class. Further, we will finish chapter 3 and begin chapter 4.
March 27, 2008 - Exam 2 will be administered in class. It covers chapters 4, 5, and 6. Please find a practice test on the main page.
