Great teacher. Knows how to explain the material.
Dr. Hoover is the best professor I have had at UA thus far. He is very engaging, and teaches the material in a way that makes it very interesting. He also keeps going over something until every student thoroughly understands it. He always encourages students to use his office hours and is so helpful when you take advantage of that resource. Tests & graded homeworks are always returned the very next class period after they are turned in. Overall, Dr. Hoover is an outstanding professor.
This was the best Economics class that I have taken! Dr. Hoover made it fun and "informative" I feel that I will walk away with a strong understanding of the subject!
Dr. Hoover is an excellent teacher who knows the material & genuinely cares for his students.
He is great at getting all the students to understand the subject. Good at making a fun class of a boring subject. One of my favorite teachers.
Good Class - Good Teacher
Great teacher that only accepts the best from everyone. Creates a sense of camaderie with the class and wants group success. I thoroughly enjoyed this class and the things I have learned.

Dr. Hoover is one of the best professors I have ever had the prviledge of having. I've been able to succeed at & even enjoy a subject I thought I hated.
This has been a very effective class. I've learned a lot from his teaching style and he really seems to care whether we do well or not. He is very open with office hours and encourages us to use them.
Sometimes the instructor oversimplifies the material so that the homework problems look nothing like anything we did in class.
He is definitely one of my favorite teachers. He makes the class engaging and easy to participate in. I have never seen a teacher that makes himself so readily available outside of class. He also sincerely wants his students to do well.

Dr. Hoover is a spectacular teacher. Econ sucks but he makes it livable and fun in some cases.
Dr. Hoover is an excellent teacher! He is a thorough and good explainer & wants his students to do well. He makes class interesting and makes sure we all understand what is going on and the subject material. I would definitely recommend him as a teacher to anyone who asks! He's awesome.

Dr. Hoover is an exceptional teacher. Studying for his tests isn't bad because you feel well prepared already. He has more office hours available then any other teacher I've had and he is more than willing to work with you until you understand.

Great teacher, he's tough, but he cares more about his students tan most teachers. I worked hard and learned a lot & I feel that even though he expected a lot of me, I was able to rise to the challenge!

Dr. Hoover is one of the best Teachers I ever have. Everyone should take his class.
I enjoyed the course, however I did not like the text.
I think some people are scared of him but I love his teaching style! Very clear and teaches thoroughly.
Very interesting class, some test questions could have been graded more fairly.
The test & quiz questions tend to be difficult to understand, sometimes I do not feel that they come with enough direction or explanation & also they are so long and involved its hard, sometimes impossible, for me to complete them to the best of my ability with in the time constraint.
Why SA for 7? I don't study much outside class, so his teaching helps me be ready for the tests mainly. ^^;;;
Dr. Hoover frequently used profanity in class which is highly offensive. Also exam dates were not given enough in advance which made preparation for study difficult. Plenty of office hours available which was nice.
