This component produces the necessary SPSS equations to generate the outputs required for LISREL analysis. The SPSS equations are copy/pasted into an SPSS syntax window, executed (using the Run.All) command, to produce factor analyses, correlations, and reliabilities of the scales in your data.

Enter the scale name followed by the item names, like this:

   skale x1 x2 x3 x4
   scale2 y1 y2 y3
   latent ab1 ab2 ab3 ab4 ab5 ab6

Notes:

• Make sure your processing options in SPSS are set correctly. Choose Edit.Options.OutputLabels. You should see 4 picklist boxes. The first and third boxes must be set to "NAMES" (click here to see an example).
  
• Open an SPSS *.sav file. A spreadsheet with your data in it should appear.
  
• After the equations are generated, open a File.New.Syntax window and copy/paste the equations into that window. Then choose Run.All. An output window will now appear with the appropriate output in it for LISREL program generation.
