First check the UA Library catalog:
- http://library.ua.edu/
- Search by "Journal Title"
- The catalog record will indicate whether UA currently subscribes to the journal in print & electronically. It also may have a direct link to electronic access of the journal.
- As mentioned above, the library catalog record may provide a link for electronic access to the journal.
- Use the E-journals link on the Bruno homepage to determine if full text electronic access is available.
- Articles not available in print or electronically may be requested from ILL. If not many libraries subscribe to the journal, it may be difficult to obtain.

- Search by title, author, subject or keyword.
- Universal Borrowing
- Borrow from other Alabama academic libraries. Books are delivered and may be picked up at UA Libraries.

- Request the book from Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
- The UA library will attempt to locate and borrow materials not owned by our libraries.

- Research Library Complete - concentrates on humanities & social sciences
- SSRN - Working papers. C&BA subscribes. Not on library databases page. http://www.ssrn.com - more econ, finance & accounting focused.
- ProQuest Dissertations & Theses - Access to over 2 million dissertations.
Web of Science - Electronic versions of Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index.
- Can be used to determine how many times an article has been cited.
- UA owns the backfile from 1985. Print versions are in the Gorgas Library.

Business Source Premier - can also do citation searches. Not as extensive as Web of Science.
Journal Citation Reports - provides analytic data on scholarly journals, including the "impact factor," a measure of the journal's prestige.

- Provides information on publication submission requirements for hundreds of scholarly journals. Many listings also include journal acceptance rates.
Available from many different sources - ask a Bruno librarian for assistance in locating specific data.
