The Bashinsky Computer Center and Bruno Library will have the following change in hours:

Sunday, January 15th - close at 10pm

Monday, January 16th - CLOSED

Regular hours will resume Tuesday, January 17th.

Accessing Local Resources Using Remote Desktop

HP Instructions

Step 1: Go to the Remote Desktop Connection program.

Step 2: Click on "options" in the lower left corner so that it shows you more tabs.

Step 3: Choose the "Local Resources" tab, then select the "more" option.

 

Step 4: Check the box that says drives. The select OK.

Step 6: Select "Connect". Your local drives should be available on your remote desktop.

Mac Instructions

Step 1: Go to the Remote Desktop Connection program.

Step 2: In the top left corner of your screen, select "RDC" so that you see more options. Select "Preferences".

Step 3: Preferences will open a new window that shows several tabs. Select "Drives".

Step 4: Choose the drive you want to use while connected to remote desktop.

Step 5: Exit the preferences and select "Connect". Your local drives should be available on the remote desktop.

The Bashinsky Computer Center will have the following change in operating hours:

December 11 & 12: CLOSED

December 13 - 17: 8am - 5pm

December 18 & 19: CLOSED

December 20 - 23: 8am - 5pm

December 24 - January 2: CLOSED

January 3 - 7: 8am - 5pm

January 8 & 9: CLOSED

January 10 & 11: 8am - 5pm

Regular semester hours will resume Wednesday, January 12th.

We receive many phone calls from incoming students asking which notebook computer they should purchase. We've assembled some helpful information below.

Bashinsky Computer Center change in operating hours for Spring Break

The Bashinsky Computer Center will close for Spring Break at 5:00 PM Friday, March 12th, and remain closed through Saturday, March 20th.  The Lab will reopen at 1:00 PM Sunday, March 21st.

New Blog Module

We've just introduced a new module to let you put a blog on any page.  Here's how to do it:

  1. Create a new page or edit an existing page.
  2. While in edit mode, click on the content are of the page to bring up the rich text editor.
  3. Click the new "Blog" button in the rich text editor toolbar.
  4. Select the category or categories you'd like to be in your blog.
  5. Click the "Insert" button to insert the tag into your content area.
  6. Click the "Update" button to update your content.

You should now be able to exit edit mode and see your new blog!
