Fall 2012 Event Schedule
The UA Sales Program Fall 2012 Schedule will feature a mix of recruiting, corporate showcases, and professional development events. These events are designed specifically to connect our students with corporate recruiters and mentors.
The Sales Program and its student groups, Sales Ambassadors and SMA, host corporate representatives for sessions that aid in the professional development of sales students. These sessions can take the form of a huge Career Fair featuring dozens of companies and hundreds of students, or a customized Corporate Showcase spotlighting one corporate recruiter in front of a targeted student audience.
The Fall 2012 is currently being sold by Sales Program students in the Advanced Sales class. This provides these Sales students with a unique opportunity to partake in a real sales experience.

Wednesday, November 7th
Connect 2012 will be our fourth annual Sales Career Fair. This is our largest event of the semester, attended by 25 exhibitors from virtually every industry and over 200 students. Location: Ferguson Center
Resume Workshop - September 4th
The Resume Workshop allows corporate mentors to give advice and tips on their view of a perfect resume. After a brief panel discussion, mentors will provide students with one-on-one guidance on resume creation and customization.
Career Fair Training Camp - September 18th
The Career Fair Training Camp, sponsored by Kohl's, will consist of corporate mentors providing tips for success at career fairs. After a short panel on career fair techniques, students will have the opportunity to practice their skills by rotating between company booths.
Altria Corporate Showcase- September 25th
The Altria Corporate Showcase will involve numerous Altria representatives in a networking environment to meet and connect with sales students. During this event, Altria will make a brief presentation on who they are, followed by one on one interaction between Altria reps and students.
Mizuno Sports Marketing Roundtable Luncheon - September 28th
Mizuno will host their first UA Sales Program event on Friday, September 28th. Mizuno representatives will be taking a group of select sales students to lunch to mentor and network with them. Don't miss this great opportunity to connect with one of the leaders in the sporting goods industry.
Corporate Showcase - October 2nd
Post, the title sponsor of the Mock Interview Day, will present it's potential career opportunities to Sales Program students in a networking environment. This event allows Post to meet the students that they will be interviewing the next day.
Mock Interview Day - October 3rd 12:00pm 4:00pm
The Mock Interview Day allows corporate mentors to help sales students sharpen interview skills in 1 hour practice sessions. Each mentor will go through eight sets of mock-interviews, giving these companies a first look at potential employees. Location: Shelby Hall Lab Room 2040.
E&J Gallo Corporate Showcase and Wine Education Seminar - October 9th
The Gallo showcase and wine education seminar will consist of a brief presenation on Gallo and the job opportunities available, a wine education seminar with a wine tasting, followed by one on one networking with the E&J Gallo Southeast Recruiter.
Speed Networking - October 16th
The Speed Networking event, sponsored by Enterprise, will consist of corporate mentors teaching effective networking skills to students in a realistic networking setting. Students will have the opportunity to practice their networking skills after the panel concludes.
Corporate Showcase - November 6th
Scripps, the title sponsor of Connect 12 will present its potential career opportunities to Sales Program students in a networking environment. This Corporate Showcase will be held the night before Connect 12, allowing Scripps to get the first look at top Sales students.
TEKsystems Corporate Showcase - November 13th
To wrap up the semester, the TEKsystems Corporate Showcase will be held. TEKsystems will present its potential career opportunities to Sales Program students in a networking environment. This will be a great opportunity for students to connect with recruiters before the semester ends.
