Arben joined the Economic Forecasting Group in the Center for Business and Economic Research in May 2010. His primary areas of work are economic forecasting and fiscal impact studies.
Prior to joining the Center, Arben worked for a private company in New York. He has also worked at Auburn University Montgomery (AUM) and for a number of international agencies in Europe. His past work experience involved conducting economic impact analysis, designing web sites, and writing grant proposals. At AUM the Online Economic Development Initiative, a multi-organizational effort to improve economic development decision-making in Alabama, was one of the central projects on which he worked.
Arben graduated with honors from AUM and was named the Chancellor’s Scholar in 2006. He is currently working towards his Master’s in Economics. Arben is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies.
