"The MIS Department at the University of Alabama prepares its students more than any other school for future IS positions. I realized this at my internship this summer at Walmart, where this was not only repeated by every person I met, but I noticed the visible step up that the Alabama students had over the other ones. This was even more evident when almost every Alabama intern was offered a full time offer for when they graduated."

"The MIS Program is an amazing opportunity for me to pursue a career that coincides with my passion for technology. This program is the best choice to prepare me for a career in technology because it provides real world class projects, professional development workshops, and passionate teachers dedicated to their students' growth. The program offers many opportunities for students to network and build relationships, including weekly AIMS meetings and interactions with upperclassment in the program. All of this contributes to me growing as both a person and a professional in the advancement of my career in technology."

"This is my first semester in the MIS program and so far everything is going great. I actually feel I am participating in a program that has a direct effect on my future instead of just attending class with the hopes of finding a job. It's a lot of hard work, but it will definitely pay off in the end."

-Josh Douglas

"The best part about MIS is the people. The camaraderie and friendliness that encompass the entire program are unparalleled. MIS places an emphasis on networking - whether you get programming help from an upperclassman at mentoring, catch a touchdown from a classmate at intramurals, or simply introduce yourself to the person sitting next to you an an AIMS meeting, you're sure to make important connections with intelligent, interesting people."

        -Taylor Konkel

"The MIS Program at the University of Alabama challenges its students to recognize their potential and exceed what they thought was possible. As a Junior in the program, I have seen my business and technical skills grow tremendously. The faculty has been there for me every step of teh way and truly cares about its students. The MIS Program gives me great career opportunities through the corporate relationships it has developed. I enjoy the program and look forward to the unique experiences I will have due to a challenging yet rewarding undergraduate degree in MIS."
