Master's of Management
Students qualify for a concentration by completing four courses in health care management. The following courses are all electives in the master's of management.

Advanced Introduction to Health Systems (Fall)
This course provides an overview of the financing, insurance, payment and delivery of health care system in the US. The US health care system is compared and contracted with other health care systems in terms of organization, quality, cost, and access.

Issues in Health Care Management (Fall or Spring)
This course helps you to learn about the many controversial issues facing the healthcare industry and prepares you for analyzing the issues affecting health care institutions, including ambulatory, acute, and long-term care facilities.

Advanced Ambulatory Care (Spring)
Examines the principles and concepts of ambulatory care in the health care sector, with an emphasis on understanding the business philosophy and practices of ambulatory organizations.

Advanced Long-Term Care (Fall)
Examines the basic and advanced concepts of long-term care organizations and management, with an emphasis on understanding the current delivery system and the unique challenges faced by practitioners on varying levels.

Independent Study (By arrangement)
Research-based course, that often leads to a published article, or an applied research project of value to a client organization.
