Student Spotlight: Jonathan Simon

Junior Jonathan Simon was awarded the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) Scholarship sponsored by Microsoft for $10,000.

He is “ecstatic” about the scholarship and keeps busy at UA serving as president of the Afro-American Gospel Choir, treasurer of the UA chapter of NABA, and a dormitory resident advisor.

Jonathan chose accounting as a major as "a leap of faith". He was attracted by the opportunities accounting provides, and his decision was solidified through his membership in NABA.

Jonathan grew up in Birmingham and attended Ramsay High School. He plans to obtain his CPA license.
