State-of-the-Art Technology and Business Partnerships

  • The College is equipped with world-class computer and communications technology, including wireless access from all classrooms, common areas, and the Bruno Library.

  • The College has spent more that $23 million to provide high-speed computer access to offices, labs, classrooms and each residence hall room in Friedman Hall (a residence hall dedicated to C&BA Students).

  • Undergraduate students have access to more than 1,000 computers in 24 computer labs and classrooms. A communication lab allows students to do full motion, nonlinear digital video editing. The Bruno Library enables students to change audio, video, and text documents into digital formats such as DVD and MP3.

Partnerships With Business

  • Many courses offer hands-on assignments for local and national companies. Students might assess a firm's human resource needs or address a production operations problem for a manufacturer. Other classes challenge students to market a new product or redesign an information system. Students may elect to be part of a team that consults with small business, launches new entrepreneurial ventures, or designs and executes advertising campaigns.
